Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ReviewSignal's consumer review intelligence platform, methodology, and pricing.

General

ReviewSignal is a consumer review intelligence platform that turns public consumer reviews into desk-ready chain intelligence. Instead of dumping raw data or inflated directory counts, we focus on the active monitored universe and deliver cascade alerts, dashboards, research briefs, and exports that a research team can actually use.
ReviewSignal is built for research teams that want a focused monitored workspace and an honest path from public preview to paid coverage. The product is designed to prove fit quickly without an overstated enterprise positioning layer.
We process public consumer review data and only surface chains with real current coverage in the live product. The active monitored universe changes as density improves, so customers see the chains that are actually ready for dashboard, report, and export delivery.
We cover consumer chains across restaurants, coffee, retail, grocery, pharmacy, and adjacent categories. Trial and paid plans open selected or broader monitored sets depending on tier. View the current chain directory.

Data & Methodology

We use a multi-layered NLP pipeline. Neural Core generates 384-dimensional sentence embeddings using MiniLM (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) to capture semantic meaning beyond simple keyword matching. Isolation Forest anomaly detection flags statistically significant deviations from historical baselines. Sentiment scores range from -1.0 (extremely negative) to +1.0 (extremely positive), with thresholds of ±0.10 for gap-free classification into positive, neutral, and negative categories. Learn more about our methodology.
The dashboard refreshes daily. Our monitoring jobs watch freshness and coverage gaps so that only chains with current usable data appear in the active monitored universe. Reports are regenerated on their delivery schedule as new data arrives.
Echo Engine compares sentiment against rolling baselines and propagation context so recurring spikes can be flagged instead of treated as clean signal. It reduces seasonal noise; it does not guarantee that every seasonal effect is removed. Confidence is derived from the current propagation payload rather than a decorative placeholder layer.
Echo Engine generates review-sentiment signals by analyzing sentiment trends, anomaly patterns, and geographic or brand propagation effects. The product surfaces direction, sentiment delta, and review count from the active monitored universe, with confidence shown only when a real runtime payload supports it. Signals are designed as research context for your existing review workflow, not standalone recommendations.

Pricing & Plans

Early Access is a paid 5-chain dataset preview with sentiment fields, source attribution, freshness disclosure, and no API access. It is month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime. Start your data preview.
The current public paid tiers are Early Access Dataset Preview (€49/mo), Monthly Data License (€750/mo), and Weekly Data License (€1,500/mo). Buyer diligence materials support these tiers and do not create a separate Enterprise plan. View full pricing details.
Stripe-managed subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the Billing page via the Stripe Customer Portal, with no penalties or cancellation fees. When you cancel, your service continues through the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Provisioned workspaces should contact team@reviewsignal.ai because they do not all use the same Stripe self-serve flow. See our cancellation policy for full details.
The current public paid tiers are billed month-to-month through Stripe. Contact team@reviewsignal.ai only if you need billing help or buyer-diligence material before choosing a tier.

Technical

The current Early Access, Monthly, and Weekly data-license tiers are delivered as downloadable files by default. API access is not included unless ReviewSignal separately provisions it in writing.
Data is available as downloadable CSV and JSON files with coverage manifests, data dictionary, methodology notes, license summary, and buyer diligence materials.
The current self-serve product is file-first. Buyers can load CSV and JSON exports into their own notebooks, BI tools, or research systems. Any API or webhook integration must be separately agreed in writing.

Compliance & Security

ReviewSignal maintains a GDPR control pack for public-review analytics: EU-hosting references, data minimization, no reviewer identity fields or raw review text in customer exports by default, DSAR/delete flow, and counsel-reviewed Article 14/source-rights work before enterprise signature. See our compliance documentation.
We only collect publicly available consumer reviews that are voluntarily posted on public review platforms. We do not scrape private data, personal information, gated content, or any data behind authentication walls. Our data collection follows robots.txt directives and platform terms of service. Our public data policy provides full transparency on our sourcing practices.
All data is stored on Google Cloud Platform in the europe-west3 region (Frankfurt, Germany). Data never leaves the European Union. Our infrastructure inherits GCP's SOC 2 Type II certification, ISO 27001 compliance, and physical security controls. All data at rest is encrypted with AES-256 and all data in transit uses TLS 1.3.
